OUR STORY

Liberty was founded in 2008 as a non-profit organisation and is run by volunteers, with the support of our teaching team, who work closely with the oldest members to create an enjoyable, educational and responsible environment. Since 2008, Liberty have gone on to achieve both local and national success; in 2017, the group were crowned the British Youth Band Association Championship Class winners and are currently placed within the top 15 in the European Music Games. Liberty do not hold auditions.

There is a place at Liberty for every young person, regardless of their level of experience or confidence. No instrument? No worries! Liberty loans every musical member an instrument free of charge.
