Liberty had a great time at DCUK Finals this year.
Our best run came in the morning’s Prelims competition where everyone left the field knowing we had just delivered the best performance of the season….and that’s a great feeling at Finals.
The afternoon’s Drumline Battle was a real highlight of the day. The first round saw us beat Beeches Performance Ensemble and then we moved onto the semi-final where we were beaten by our friends at The Pacemakers. Great fun…and the drummers have already been talking about next year!
We didn’t feel that the evening’s finals performance went quite as well as the morning’s run through…but the score improved so we’ll take that! Being on early in the evening we were then able to pack away and have time to watch the top corps.
We got back to Northampton in the early hours, rolled out our sleeping bags and slept on the sports hall floor before travelling over the Stafford for the BYBA Brass Explosion show. A really good run saw us achieve our highest score of the year and move up to 4th place in the Premier Class. There will have been some tired bodies back at school the next morning!dcuk-finals-guard
