Great opportunities for young people to get involved at Liberty

We are always really keen at Liberty to make sure that as many young people as possible know all about us. This year, with funding support from Northampton Borough Council, we have been running one-off workshops open to all young people.....and of course we hope that when they come along, they might want to come back again and join us!
Last week, alongside a general open night, we ran a dance workshop led by Tim Walker who was in the original West End cast of Hairspray. We are so lucky to have Tim as part of our teaching staff at Liberty.
Leaflets were delivered and info was shared on social media....and we were delighted that 10 new young people arrived.
....and this week 7 of them returned and an 8th has contacted us to say he is starting next week! New dancers, new drummers and new brass players!
And reflecting our diverse local community they included young people from Lithuania, Poland and Greece!
A huge thanks to Northampton Borough Council for funding the workshops through their small grants programme. It really is making a difference to local young people.
And if you didn't make the workshop, and would like to call in and see what Liberty is like, just come along to the sports hall at Quinton House School any Thursday evening from 6.30pm onwards.
