Liberty’s 2016 show, “The Despicable Murder of Miss Trixie Malone” has made it onto the competition field and the members are having lots of fun performing it.
The 1920s style show has seen the corps performing in 1920s “costume” rather than the corps uniform. The young members all scoured charity shops across Northampton to put together their own “gangsters and molls” look and that has really added to the fun of the programme.
The corps has performed at BYBA shows in Grantham and Daventry along with the DCUK show at Leicester and each time they have raised the bar and delivered an improved show.
Liberty 2016 is our largest corps and our youngest corps since we started in 2008, with 40 members who have all been at school during the last year……and 15 of these have been new to our activity this year.
Liberty is now on a Summer break with sectional and small ensemble rehearsals taking place around members’ holidays, before we all get back together for a two day camp at the end of August to prepare for the National Championships.
